A man on TikTok has criticized McDonald’s for increasing its prices, asserting that it’s now “no longer affordable” to dine there.
Topher recently visited his nearby McDonald’s and was taken aback when he found out that his usual order, which consisted of a Smoky Double Quarter Pounder BLT burger, large fries, and Sprite, cost him over $16.

Due to the sharp rise in inflation over the past year, the cost of living in the United States has increased significantly, driving up the cost of food and energy.
However, there was one thing Americans believed they could count on, which was an inexpensive meal at McDonald’s.
Surprisingly, that might not be the case, as suggested by TikToker Christopher Olive.
In a video posted last year, the aspiring strongman showcased his recent purchase from McDonald’s, which included a Smoky Double Quarter Pounder BLT burger, a large order of fries, and a Sprite.
It’s safe to say that this meal is more expensive than a Happy Meal when comparing what might be deemed a fair price.
But only a few years ago, you would normally expect a single meal such as this to cost no more than $10, if not less.
For this reason, Christopher was taken aback as he glanced at his receipt, only to discover that he had been billed a hefty $16.10 for his meal.
In the clip, he says: “So I get there’s a labour shortage, I get there’s wage increases and a number of other things but… sixteen dollars?
“Sixteen dollars for a burger, a large fries and a drink. It’s just crazy.”
