Kate Middleton underwent planned stomach surgery in mid-January, and everyone hoped she recovered well. Things didn’t seem right when she wasn’t visible, despite the Palace assuring the people that she was fine.
Soon after, suspicion and rumors began to circulate, and they only grew after Kate uploaded a photo of herself and her three children on the patio on Mother’s Day. The reason, as we all know, is that the photograph was modified. This was rapidly discovered by Photoshop professionals, but the truth is that everyone can see that the image was modified before publication.
Later, Kate revealed on social media that she was the one who edited the photo, and while some praised her for telling the truth, they chastised the Palace for failing to defend her.
Kate put an end to the rumors on Friday when she addressed the public via video, speaking of her health and revealing that after her abdominal surgery, physicians did tests that indicated the existence of cancer.
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” Kate’s video said. “This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”
The Princess further detailed that it had taken her time to recover from the surgery and “to explain everything” to her children George, Charlotte and Louis.
“As you may imagine, this has taken time. It took some time for me to heal from major surgery before beginning treatment. But, most significantly, it took us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louie in a way that was appropriate for them and reassure them that I would be well. As I told them, I am fine and growing stronger every day by focusing on the things that would help me recover. In my mind, body, and spirit. Having William by my side provides an enormous amount of comfort.”
She didn’t reveal the specific type of cancer she’s battling.
In the video, she requests privacy during this tough time for herself and her family.
The Princess of Wales went on to say, “Having William by my side is a huge source of comfort and security. As is the love, support, and kindness demonstrated by so many of you. It means so much to both of us. We hope you realize that, as a family, we need some time, space, and privacy as I finish my treatment. My profession has always given me a great deal of pleasure, and I hope to return when I am able — but for the time being, I must concentrate on fully recovering.”
“At this time, I’m also thinking of all the people whose lives have been touched by cancer. Please do not lose faith or hope if you are suffering from this disease, regardless of its form,” she said. “You are not alone.”
During Kate and Charles’ absence, it is their spouses who stepped in and took upon themselves to carry out royal duties.
Royal expert Angela Levin appeared on GB News, saying that Queen Camilla is “holding the royal family up.”
Angela Levin, a royal specialist, came on GB News and claimed that Queen Camilla is “holding the royal family up.”
“I mean, waiting until you’re 73 is a long time before you can claim the crown. I believe it is obviously tough for him at his age, but he is very determined, and he has only recently begun to be king,” Levin stated. “Supporting him very much, absolutely by his side, is Queen Camilla, who is going to all the engagements that they would have gone to together on her own.”
“That way, he’ll feel like it’s still moving, running, and they’ll be able to talk about it. And I think that’s fantastic. I mean, she’s supporting the Royal Family and being strong. If you think back 30 years, they said the entire Royal Family would disintegrate and she would be useless.”
Camilla, in addition to revealing that she does not want to be in the spotlight, is doing an outstanding job and is very “accessible.”
“To assist her husband. She understands him well because they had been together for almost 50 years before they married. “It’s been a long time, and they make each other laugh,” Angela Levin said. “They share the same sense of humor, they understand each other, and when you see them out and about, they move together. It’s very tandem.”
Today, it’s safe to say that Camilla is a much-appreciated member of the family, but both she and Kate once went through a media scrutiny.
Kate recalls when her and William’s relationship became public, with the media dubbing them as “Lazy Kate” and “Waity Katie.”
Unfortunately, she was once again subjected to intense scrutiny following the Mother’s Day photo scandal.
In an interview with Today, Camilla Tominey, assistant editor of The Telegraph, claimed that the queen “has been trying to help [Catherine] through the media storm aspect of all of this.”
Tominey elaborated: “I think before [Catherine] made the announcement because she was having to cope with the fallout of everything that was said about the Mother’s Day photo and everything else, I think Camilla lent some support.”
“Because let’s be honest, [Camilla] understands what it’s like to face a difficult press. “She understands what it’s like to shepherd children through a media storm,” she continued.
Camilla became one of the country’s hated women once her affair with Charles was revealed. She was once terrified to leave her home because she had been subjected to “torrents” of maltreatment from the public.
