Richard Simmons, the iconic fitness guru known for his infectious energy, passed away on July 13, 2024.
Emergency services were summoned to his home after Simmons fell in his bathroom. He was found unresponsive by his housekeeper and later declared passed away. Although the LAPD investigated, foul play is not suspected.
Just before his loss, Simmons shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, thanking fans for their birthday wishes and posting a playful photo with the caption, “Hello gorgeous! Please don’t rain on my parade.”
In March 2024, Simmons revealed his battle with Basal Cell Carcinoma on Facebook.
Despite undergoing multiple treatments, he remained a beacon of hope, raising awareness about the disease and emphasizing the importance of embracing life fully.
Simmons stepped out of the public eye in 2014, but his legacy of promoting health and happiness endures. His final messages reminded fans to appreciate life’s simple joys and maintain meaningful connections.
