Horrific moment as a sewer pipe bursts, raining ‘poo-cano’ on motorists

Nobody expects to see feces pour down from the sky, but when it happens, they have no idea what to do.

As Americans deal with the apparently ‘unsurvivable’ Hurricane Helene in the Western Hemisphere, a less catastrophic but more unusual episode occurred in Nanning, China, earlier this week.

The city in Southern China suffered what some have dubbed a ‘poo-cano’ on Tuesday morning, with videos of the incident spreading viral on X (previously Twitter) in the days following the unusual event.

For perspective, the whirlwind of feces was not a newly found natural disaster that we should all be afraid of, but rather one of the worst-case situations that could result from a sewage pipe bursting along a city roadway in the middle of the day.

After the pipe exploded, it produced a massive brown cloud that not only obscured the vision of drivers and motorcyclists on the busy street, but also rained human excrement down on them and their vehicles, making for a thoroughly miserable morning drive.

While no one was seriously injured as a result of this odd episode, several automobiles were severely damaged. Furthermore, as you might assume, the stains and odors left on the automobiles and motorcycles were difficult to remove for the affected commuters.

Those who saw footage of the ‘poo-cano’ online were quick to sympathize with those engaged in the tragedy, as well as those who would most likely have to cope with the aftermath.

Insane Reality Leaks (@InsaneRealitys) reported a massive sewer line break, filling the city with 💩.

“The poor car wash employees when this car pulls up,” one X user wrote in reaction to a dashcam video showing a car covered in human excrement.

Another user expressed a similar sentiment: “First stop: car wash… They’re definitely having a bad day.”
