Grandma Wanted A Very Special Tea… ☕😂
An elderly Scottish grandmother walked into an upscale tea shop in Edinburgh with her 18-year-old granddaughter.
After looking around, she approached the manager and said,
“Young man, I’m looking for a very strong tea. The kind that can keep a person completely silent for at least two hours.”
The manager smiled politely.
“We do have an excellent Assam black tea, ma’am. Very strong indeed. Though I’m not sure it can make anyone stay quiet for that long.”
The grandmother sighed.
“You don’t understand. Today is my fiftieth wedding anniversary, and my husband has been complaining about the weather non-stop since breakfast.”
The granddaughter leaned closer and whispered,
“Grandma, if you want Grandpa to be quiet, why don’t you just use the sleeping pills the doctor gave you?”
The old woman gave her a sharp look.
“Darling, sleeping pills are far too obvious and highly illegal..”
She paused.
“But a strong cup of tea, combined with accidentally forgetting to switch his hearing aid back on before I start the blender…”
Another pause.
“…that’s simply an unfortunate family incident.”
