The Young Rooster Challenged the Old One… Big Mistake
A farmer who raised chickens had just bought a young rooster and put it in his coop…
Soon the young rooster struts up to the old one and says, “Okay you old fart, time for you to retire. I’m in charge of the hens, now.”
“Are you sure?” the old rooster asks, “It’s pretty challenging watching over all these hens and keeping them in line, especially for a youngster who doesn’t have the experience.”
“Of course I’m sure, you bony bag old of feathers.” sneered the cocky young rooster. “Now get out of my way.”
“I’ll tell you what,” the old rooster says, “Let’s see by having a race around the farmhouse. Whoever can make to the end first will get to watch over the hens.”
“It’s a deal.” said the young rooster. So they scratch line on the ground behind the farm house with their talons. Then they take off. The old rooster sprints ahead of the young rooster, who is certain the old one will quickly tire and he’ll soon run right past him. When they’re almost halfway around the house, the young rooster is starting to catch up. When they are just running past the porch where the farmer was sitting, the young one has nearly caught up with the old one, running as fast as he can with his eyes bulging and his tongue hanging out. Suddenly the gets up, grabs his sh0tgun and sh00ts the young rooster de@d.
The farmer then shakes his head sadly and says, “I don’t get it.”That’s the third rooster I bought this month. Why do they always turn out to only want to br**d with other roosters?”
Moral: Respect your elders, they have much more wisdom and experience than you do. (or so this story says, anyway)
