Tiny Mom Sᴛᴜɴs Everyone With Her Hᴜɢᴇ ‘Chunky ʙᴀʙʏ’ Twins
It’s a truth almost universally acknowledged that babies are pretty cute. That’s one of the chief reasons they so often go viral on the internet. They’ve got chubby cheeks, little to no hair, and often have dramatic reactions to the things happening around them. Recently, a young woᴍᴀɴ from Minnesota, USA and her two babies have gone viral for reasons that have more to do with their size than anything else.
With her TikTok followers, this woman showed off her big 7-month-old twins, who have tripled their birth weight.
Alexis LaRue, 22, is astonished by how quickly her twin girls, Camila and Elena, who each weigh 21 pounds, are developing. To show that her children are actually as big as they appear to be and that she hasn’t edited her films, the mother had to submit a video of her children being measured and weighed.
The mom describes the outpouring of support as “ᴏᴠᴇʀᴡʜᴇʟᴍɪɴɢ.” More than 46 million people have seen a video of her holding her twins.
“It’s ᴏᴅᴅ because I barely considered it when I shared the video. I had no idea what size my kids would grow to be before I started reading the comments.”, Alexis said.
Initially weighing 108 lbs, the mother’s weight climbed to 180 lbs by week 38. In March, she gave birth to Camila, who arrived at 9:22 a.m. Elena weighed 6 lbs 6oz first, then 6 lbs 7oz a minute later.
Alexis observes: “They seem to like experimenting with new foods. When I eat soᴍᴇᴛʜing, they keep looking at me as if they are hoping I will offer them some.”
When Alexis and her fiancé Leo Mejia found out they were having a child, they were overjoyed.
She said that Being a mother was one of her life’s goals, therefore she was thrilled when it happened. She was six weeks old when I had my first ultrasound, and there were two little bags visible on the screen. She is extremely sʜᴏᴄᴋed that their family doesn’t have any twins, but she also ecstatic.
In the twin group, infants weighing 5 kg or less are rather common. Since I anticipated that the twins would be small, I preordered clothing for them. These Gs have developed very quickly since they left the embryonic stage, weighing more over 13 pounds altogether.
In order to transition to solid foods, Camila and Elena are currently taking 6 ounces of newborn formula every few hours. Father Leo was 5’11” tall “The family was therefore taken aback when the twins suddenly increased in height to 2’5” after less than six months.
For weight to height ratio, both score highly. She frequently finds herself having to buy kids new clothes because of how quickly they grow. At seven months, they can wear everything from 12- to 18-month apparel.
Alexis started shooting the twins for her @themejiafamily_ TikTok account after they were born because she was bored at home. The couple, however, had no idea how much attention the records would get.
“Those are eight-year-olds.”, one skeptic spectator remarked.
“If they were standing on top of each other, they would be taller than you.”, another individual chimed up.
In addition, there have been claims that Alexis manipulates her footage or applies filters to make the females appear larger, but she insists that this is untrue.

Despite their repeated complaints that I overfeed them, it is quite challenging to do so. Because they are simply exceptionally swift adults, their pediatrician is indifferent about their size.
If there’s one thing I want everyone to remember, it’s that every ʙᴀʙʏ is unique. They all grow at different rates; mine just grew incredibly quickly. They are in great health and have a lot of personality.”
