Children are often believed to be full of energy and ideas, some more than others. Any child can be a hero. We have an excellent illustration for you.
These kids from Surrey County, near London are known as “The Awesome Dozen.” As is customary in some nations, these children, who ranged in age from six to twelve, participated in an “egg hunt.”
Although everything was going on in a field, they suddenly saw a helicopter circle above them.
Then the children saw a suspicious man sprinting past them at breakneck speed. After he had run in one direction, he turned around and entered a nearby forest.
The helicopter was back and ready to go, so the kids realized the man was doing it to escape to the police.
Then these kids had the brilliant idea to lay down and form a human arrow with their bodies.
At first, the police didn’t understand what it was they were doing – but they soon realized that the children were pointing them toward the perpetrators.
It worked! The police got the message and saw that the kids weren’t playing before they did, so they took the helicopter into the forest in the right direction and soon caught the criminal they were looking for.
The men, aged 27 and 28, were later arrested on suspicion of burglary thanks to the children’s clever idea.
Once more, these 12 kids demonstrated that any child can be a hero! The community as a whole and the police department expressed their appreciation for the clever move and quick thinking!
Please tell your friends about this wonderful tale. Kids are incredible!
