Have you heard of “homesteading”? It’s about leading an independent and self-sufficient life, usually outside of the bustling city, and it’s gaining popularity.
Many people are considering homesteading as a way to be more autonomous in light of the rising expense of living. Let me introduce you to Mama V, who fully embraced this lifestyle. Tired of city life, she left it behind to live in an old school bus, with plans to build a new cabin in the woods.
Mama V wasn’t alone; she had cats and dogs. But as her furry family grew, her bus felt cramped. She needed more space but didn’t know where to find it.
She was fortunate to receive an old, abandoned camping trailer from a friendly neighbor. He generously handed it to Mama V instead of selling it.
Mama V affectionately called her new trailer ugly but hers. She sold her bus and eagerly started her new life in the trailer. However, it needed a lot of care after sitting unused for so long.
Mama V refurbished and cleaned the trailer with the assistance of friends Jayme and Kevin. Jayme performed her cleaning magic as Kevin skillfully positioned it on its plot.
While Jayme cleaned, Mama V and Kevin bought supplies. The trailer came with a good-condition refrigerator, oven/stove, and microwave. They stocked up on essentials, preparing for Mama V’s new life.
Jayme’s cleaning was impressive, and Mama V was ready to start her new chapter in the trailer. Though not her forever home, Mama V and her pets were happy to have a comfortable place. She dreams of planting a garden and leading a simple, peaceful life.
Mama V is looking forward to this new chapter with her new trailer and the forests all around her. She is appreciative of her neighbors’ generosity, her friends, and her dogs for putting her on this path.
Falling asleep in her new home, Mama V is filled with hope for the future and gratitude for the present.
