A Woman Had No Idea Twins Ran in Her Family Until She Had 2 Sets of Twins in a Year
The odds of a woman giving birth to two sets of twins in the same year are less than those of her winning the lottery. But doctors from West Palm Beach, in the state of Florida, in the United States, found this rare case.
Alexzandria Wolliston, a mom from Florida, clearly has quite the luck! Recently, she gave birth to her second set of twins — all in the same year (yes, you read that right!).
Alexzandria Wolliston practically “won the lottery” by having twins Mark and Malakhi in March 2019 and, soon after, two more twins, Kaylen and Kaleb, in December of the same year. The four boys were born well.
“Oh yeah, I feel like I’ve won the lottery,” Wolliston told WPTV. During her first pregnancy with twins, she thought, “I never imagined I could have two!” And ended up having four. She learned of the second pregnancy in May 2019.
“I recently found out that both my grandmothers on my mom and dad’s sides gave birth to twins in the past, but they passed away,” she told POPSUGAR. “I was completely surprised.”
Although things are certainly busy in the Wolliston household, Alexzandria feels incredibly blessed. “Motherhood has been great,” she said. “I love being a mother.”
