A husband and wife were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
That evening, the wife disappeared into the bedroom and returned wearing the very same negligee she had worn on their wedding night.
She smiled and asked,
“Honey… do you remember this?”
Her husband looked up, smiled warmly, and nodded.
“Of course I do.”
“You were wearing that the night we got married.”
She grinned.
“Do you remember what you said to me that night?”
He chuckled.
“Every word.”
“Well…” she teased.
“What did you say?”
He smiled and replied,
“I told you I was going to love you with all my heart… and leave you speechless.”
She laughed.
“That’s close enough.”
Then she struck the same pose she’d made fifty years earlier and asked,
“So… here I am, wearing the very same outfit after all these years.”
“What do you have to say now?”
He looked her up and down…
Smiled proudly…
And without missing a beat, said,
“Mission accomplished.” 😂
