1. A real man doesn’t just appreciate your looks.
A real man will appreciate your personality, your kindness, your intelligence, and who you are as a person, in general. The things he makes you appreciate are things you control, not just the result of your luck in the gene pool.
2. He is genuinely interested in your story.
He wants to know about your past, your struggles, your childhood and how you became the person you are today. He doesn’t just ask superficial questions, he asks real, deep, meaningful questions because he is invested.
3. He supports you.
When you’re in trouble or need someone to rely on, he’s there to help you through it in any way he can. He makes it a point to be involved in the good and bad things in your life. He doesn’t make you feel like your problems are “drama” and doesn’t try to avoid you when you are depressed.
4. It makes you feel safe.
You feel safe. You know you can count on him. You know he won’t let you down. He respects you and when you are with him, you feel valued and appreciated. You can trust him with yourself and your life.
5. He is not afraid to tell you about his problems and/or needs.
Even if he absolutely hates talking about his feelings, confrontation, or anything that isn’t sports…he will. He knows it’s for the best and that’s what you both deserve so you can keep moving forward.
6. A real man will put effort into your relationship.
A man will do what it takes to make you happy, inside and outside the bedroom. Your happiness is his reward.
