A daughter once asked her mother, “Mom, how many different stages does a man go through?”
The mother smiled and said, “Well, dear, let me explain it with trees.”
“In his 20s, he’s like an OAK TREE—strong, sturdy, and standing tall.”
“In his 30s and 40s, he’s more like a BIRCH TREE—still reliable, but a little more flexible.”
The daughter nodded. “And after 50?”
The mother smiled.
“After 50, he becomes a CHRISTMAS TREE.”
The daughter looked confused.
“A Christmas tree?”
“Exactly!”
“Why?”
The mother replied, “Dead from the roots up… and the balls are just for decoration!”
The daughter stared at her mother.
“Wow, Mom… that explains a LOT!”
