A nervous man sat down in the dentist’s chair, preparing for a tooth extraction.
The dentist picked up a numbing needle.
The man immediately panicked. “No way! No needles! I absolutely hate needles!”
“Alright,” the dentist said calmly. “We’ll use laughing gas instead.”
The man shook his head even faster. “Not happening! I can’t stand having a mask on my face. It makes me feel like I’m suffocating!”
The dentist thought for a moment. “How about taking a pill?”
The man’s face lit up. “Now that’s something I can handle. No problem with pills!”
A minute later, the dentist returned and placed a single tablet in his hand.
“Here you go,” she said. “Take this. It’s Viagra.”
The man looked at it in surprise.
“Really? I had no idea Viagra worked as a painkiller!”
The dentist smiled and replied,
“It doesn’t.”
“It just gives you something to hang on to while I pull your tooth.”
