THE WRONG KIND OF “WAR STORY”

Jack accidentally boarded a bus packed with war veterans.
It was heading in his direction, so he decided to stay on.
He sat beside the first veteran, whose arm suddenly jerked to the left every few seconds, repeatedly bumping into Jack.
After several hits, Jack finally asked,
“Excuse me, what’s wrong with your arm?”
The man calmly replied,
“I got this in the war.”
Feeling guilty, Jack moved to another seat.
A few minutes later, the man beside him had a leg that kept twitching and kicking the seat.
After getting kicked several times, Jack asked,
“What’s wrong with your leg?”
The man replied,
“I got this in the war.”
Jack sighed and moved again.
In the third seat, the man beside him was frantically waving his left hand around.
Jack immediately said,
“Let me guess… you got that in the war too?”
The man shook his head.
“Nope.”
Jack looked relieved.
“So what happened?”
The man held up his hand and said,
“I got something out of my nose…”
He paused.
“…and I just can’t get it off my hand!”
Jack immediately stood up.
“I think I’m getting off at the next stop!”
