Talk about a dream job!
It may sound like a joke, but professional cuddlers are quickly becoming a legitimate profession for many people. Meet Robin Marie, a self-described cuddlist
Based on the client’s demands, this non-s3xual touch therapy can take anywhere from a few minutes to many hours. Marie believes strongly in the healing power of touch. This conviction drove her to seek a professional career as a cuddler.
Marie said that it is natural to want to be touched and that engaging in these sessions can prove to be quite therapeutic for many people.
Regardless of how important you believe the profession is, cuddlists go through a certification procedure. Cuddlist provides a certification program that lasts around four months.
As per her website, Marie has a master’s degree in counseling psychology in addition to her cuddling certification, which allows her to effectively relate to her customers and their individual needs.
Marie follows a strict protocol when screening clients.
Not only does she request identification, but she also makes her clients sign an agreement outlining the personal boundaries of the sessions.
While some clients want to snuggle, others just engage Marie for company. Many individuals are startled to find that Marie’s hourly wage is $80.
Marie believes that the profession will become more common in the future. If you want to learn more about becoming a cuddlist or hiring one for yourself, be sure to check out this fascinating video:
