Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cαncєr.
The Princess of Wales shared the sorrowful news in a video message on Friday.
Middleton added that during her abdominal surgery, her illness was thought to be non-cancerous, but post-operative tests indicated cαncєr.
“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” Kate, 42, said in the video. “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.”
While Middleton did not disclose the type of cαncєr, she did share she started “preventative chemotherapy” in February.
